Lake County Literary Lapses Short Story Competition - 1st Place
The Lake County Literary Lapses Festival Short Story Competition is organized by the Mariposa Writers' Group and recognizes unpublished, new and/or emerging local writers.
The Literary Lapses competition is named in honour of the Stephen Leacock book of the same name. Stephen Leacock grew up on Lake Simcoe, the same lake on which Beverley Baker resides. The Leacock Museum is now a National Historic Site of Canada.
